Trip 1 Day 4

Hello Everyone!

Friday marks the fourth day of work on the house, which is getting much closer to completion. We finally heard the dreaded phrase "Mas Blocks" for the last time from our fearless leader, Chici, as we carried up the last of the pile of blocks. Instead of doing an assembly line as we had been doing in the past, we decided to just start individually carrying as many blocks at a time as we could. Of course, after Chici managed to carry five blocks, our strongest
Michael T., whom the children have begun to call "Hombre Arbor" had to carry up six. Friday was the first day that the kids ate lunch with us, which was really cool. After a long day of work, we had finished the final layers on the house, and began to fill in the floor. As usual, Oscar drove us back to the villa, and we made plans to meet up with all of the workers at seven at Fred's favorite German restaurant for dinner. We met up for our daily disussion, which is becoming more in depth and open as we get to know each other better. At the restaurant, our friends showed up a little late, but they all came out to join us. In total, six workers from Houses to Homes came out to meet us, including Chici and Able, as well as our driver, Oscar. After dining on some delicious German sausage and a few rounds of "Das Boot", we headed home for the night.
